Data transparency
Data sources
LLM Pricing is an independent comparison site for LLM API pricing. The goal is to make public pricing data easier to inspect, compare, and estimate before you register with each provider.
Primary data
The initial model catalog is generated from LiteLLM model metadata and normalized into per-1M token or per-unit pricing fields where possible.
Manual review
Some fields are manually reviewed or overridden when provider-specific pricing semantics need clearer labels, notes, or normalization.
Review policy
The site keeps generated data separate from manually reviewed source rules. Missing fields are left blank or conservative when the source is not specific enough.
Pricing semantics
Pricing is based primarily on LiteLLM metadata. Some provider-specific fields are manually reviewed before labels or calculator behavior are tightened, and raw zero values are not treated as free unless the source confirms that meaning.
Modalities
Directional input and output modalities are written only when structured provider data or reviewed official documentation supports an exact match. They are not inferred from model names or broad mode labels.
Lifecycle
Deprecation and shutdown notes are added only when an official source can be mapped to an exact local model id or provider route. Otherwise, lifecycle fields stay omitted.
What to verify
Always verify final pricing with the official provider before production use. Actual invoices can differ because of caching, discounts, regions, batch processing, minimum charges, free tiers, priority or flex processing, and provider-specific billing rules.
